After putting on the kimono, set off to Hitoyoshi Station to meet Japan's oldest active steam locomotive, the No. 58654,-commonly known as "Hachiroku". The black smoke of the locomotive meets  the sound of the train whistle that rings through the sky, and the sound of the powerful driving wheel, creating a spectacular scenery. Stand on the platform of the station and wave the flags together to welcome the steam train. If the time is just right, we recommend that you attend the "Nostalgic Hitoyoshi" rally! This rally will

make you feel as if you are traveling through time and space back to the Taisho era.Dress up in clothes that resemble those wore a hundred years ago and greet and send off trains from and to Hitoyoshi Station alongside locals. In the square in front of Hitoyoshi Station, there is a Meiji Taisho-style cafe, and there are various other activities going on, as well. This takes place every autumn. The start of this year’s activities needs to be confirmed.
